Join a Private Expert-Led Recovery Space

A Community Unlike Anything Else Online

Behind The Toxic Workplace isn’t another productivity circle or trauma dumping ground.
It’s a structured, expert-led space designed to help you:

Understanding

  • Understand what happened to you and how it affected your nervous system

  • Stabilise, so you can think clearly and rebuild trust in yourself

  • Connect with peers who get it, without re-exposing yourself to harm

  • Build real recovery from the inside out at your pace, on your terms

Specialist Support

This isn’t just a forum or group chat.
Behind The Toxic Workplace lives here on a structured platform that allows for rich discussion without chaos or exposure.

  • It’s professional, distraction-free, and built for focus

  • It supports video and live conversation for deeper connection

  • It allows a synchronous reflection, no need to perform or “keep up”

  • It looks and feels like a dedicated space, not another scrolling feed

Safety First And Always

Every member agrees to:

  • A clear membership agreement

  • A firm code of conduct

  • A legal disclaimer for scope of support

This protects you, your data, and your experience.

We moderate all interactions to ensure psychological safety, trauma-informed practices, and accountability.

Still Feeling the Impact?

You’ve done the trainings. You’ve tried to keep your head down. Maybe you’ve even left but your body hasn’t.
If you're:

  • Holding it together on the outside but unravelling inside

  • Exhausted from masking at work or in job searches

  • Still stuck in cycles of self-blame, confusion, or hypervigilance

  • Wanting clarity, not quotes and safety, not speculation

  • Then this space is here for you.

When Work Becomes Harmful, You Need More Than Advice

If you are functioning on the outside but falling apart inside, you are not alone.

Workplace bullying, coercive management, gaslighting, and chronic emotional threat change how your nervous system operates. Over time, they affect sleep, thinking, confidence, and identity.

Behind The Toxic Workplace exists to help you stabilise, understand what has happened, and rebuild yourself with clarity and support.

This is not an open support group.

It is a structured recovery environment guided by specialist oversight.

What You Get Inside:

What happens inside the community

  • A private, moderated recovery environment

  • Expert-led psychological education on workplace bullying dynamics and nervous system responses

  • A structured, self-paced multi-module video recovery course with worksheets and guided exercises

  • Practical tools to help you think, function, and make grounded decisions

Is This You?

Does any of this apply?

  • You may be functioning on the outside, but inside you’re constantly on edge.

  • You feel you are the only one working.

  • You replay conversations.

  • You dread emails.

  • Your confidence has quietly eroded.

  • You’re exhausted, but can’t switch off.

  • And part of you wonders if it’s somehow your fault.

  • You've thought of leaving but you have no other income at this time.

  • You're working long hours out of fear.

  • Your health and well-being is compromised.

  • You've been off sick more than ever before.

If this resonates, you’re not imagining it and you’re not alone.

A Community With a Clear Way Through

Behind the Toxic Workplace is not an open-ended support group. It is expert-led alongside peer support.

The private community have access to a comprehensive, video-led recovery course designed to be followed at your own pace.

The course includes multiple modules, guided practices, and accompanying worksheets to help you understand what has happened, stabilise your nervous system, and rebuild clarity, confidence, and internal safety over time.

Members are supported as they move through the material, and a certificate of completion is available at the end of the programme.

Some members choose to access additional live support as part of their recovery.

Let's Be Real And Name The Problem

Workplace bullying is not about resilience or confidence.
It is a form of prolonged psychological threat that dysregulates the nervous system, distorts self-perception, and creates survival responses that look like anxiety, rumination, shutdown, or hyper-vigilance.

Here's what traditional advice looks like:

Traditional advice often fails because it treats this as a mindset issue rather than a neurobiological and psychological injury.

What people tell you to do

  • Just leave and go get another job.

  • Stop being so sensitive.

  • Grow a thick skin.

  • Just ignore them.

  • Are you sure you're not making more of the situation?

  • It's normal to but heads when you first start.

  • They probably didn't mean what they say.

  • All managers are like that.

  • Don't say anything or you could lose your job.

  • Just don't talk to them.

  • Write them a letter telling them how you feel.

  • Explain your side of the story.

Is this advice or another way of saying, 'You are the problem, you don't even know how to handle people.' With some good intentions, everyone is not equipped to handle bullies. We can't expect everyone to understand what harassment, micro-management, gas-lighting, or bullying is like. Most people don't believe that adults behave this way. This type of advice can leave you feeling much worse, helpless and hopeless.

In the meantime

  • You can barely get out of bed in the morning.

  • You are teary and cry at the drop of a hat.

  • You feel physically ill most days but there is no diagnosis.

  • Your voice is now shaking when you speak.

  • Your opinion is being ignored.

  • People keep talking over you purposefully.

  • More than one person is bullying you.

  • The bully is stealing your ideas and making them their own.

  • Your manager has lied about you and to you.

  • You want to hand in your notice but you can't financially.

  • You are applying for jobs but aren't getting any further.

  • Your mind is consumed with thinking about it.

Your mental health and well-being as well as your physical health is taking a hit and you are feeling trapped. You may even feel as thought you have no option but to leave, without having sufficient funds to keep you going. You may even get into severe debt because you are being harmed at work. Your company is toxic and has been so for a long-time, because toxicity breeds toxicity. You need support. You need a plan. You need a community.

WHY THIS IS DIFFERENT

Why

Behind The Toxic Workplace

Is Different

Behind the Toxic Workplace is a private, professionally held recovery space for people experiencing or recovering from workplace bullying and psychological harm.

This is different from anything offered to help you to recover your nervous system and learn skills to support you as you go through it.

It is also:

  • Psychology-led, not motivational

  • Expert-led alongside peer support

  • Nervous system aware

  • Practical and emotionally safe

  • No public exposure, no performative sharing

  • Member agreements of safety and confidentiality

  • Go at your own pace

  • Boundaries driven

  • Members safety first

  • Course material based on 30 years' experience

  • Proven strategies and techniques

Meet Sha

With my close to 30 years’ clinical, as a Specialist Therapist and Forensic Recovery Consultant with forensic and neurological expertise, I am will not offer this on a public platform. You deserve more. You need to be protected from your company lurking in shadows, checking your social media and trying to find your comments on YouTube.

This is specialist material that I’ve gained from being in the trenches, working as a group therapist in the NHS for many years in two specialist neurologist-recovery teams, working with personality disorders in specialist teams, my private practice work as a therapist, my over a decade of independent mental capacity advocacy work and supervisor in court cases, and my personal experiences working within organisations that were challenging and toxic. I know first-hand what it's like to lose sovereignty.  Through the course and through the community support, I provide specialist experience in psychological harm, nervous system recovery, and workplace dynamics, alongside lived experience of what this kind of environment does to capable people.

I know how to spot the narcissistic bully, the mob, the gas-lighter and the manipulator, and this is through my clinical experience. I've made resources available to you that will help you to do so as well, whilst supporting your nervous system recovery. I've been in the room when someone has been diagnosed with a personality disorder or other behavioural problem. This is rare. I've been offering one-to-one support through my Inner Shift program for many years. And now its time it was available to reach more people, hence this course and community. I hope to see you there.

"When you're being harmed at work, its a though you cannot believe its happening to you. You want someone to jump in to help. But they don't. Some sit around watching, in a voyeur spectator way. I've been in those rooms as a mediator and witnessed it. I was the one having to propose reasonable adjustments for the person. Company's haven't a clue. Join our community and you will find support, guidance and a course that will help you get yourself back. Work is taking more from you than it every gave."
