A Shift in Focus: Nervous System Recovery and Toxic Workplaces (copy)

Over the past year, my work has become increasingly focused on one reality.

Workplaces can cause psychological injury.

Not stress in the abstract. Not “a busy season.”
But sustained nervous system disruption caused by bullying, manipulation, micro-management, exclusion, and chronic unpredictability.

Many high-performing professionals are not burnt out because they lack resilience. They are dysregulated because their environments have required constant vigilance.

This is why my focus has sharpened.

My work now centres on nervous system recovery during and after toxic workplace harm. Recovery is not motivational. It is physiological. It requires stabilisation, containment, and structured repair.

The conversation has shifted. The work has deepened. And the support I offer reflects that.
