Mediumship Development vs Psychic Development

And why they are taught separately

Psychic Development

There is a stark difference between a psychic reading and a mediumship reading and this will be a direct reflection of the information you provide to your sitter.

A Psychic Reading often gives:

  • Timelines

  • Predictions

  • Uses tools such as tarot or oracle cards, pendulum, charms, tea leaves, diving rods and other tools

  • Your strongest gift will be clairsentience (usually)

  • You rely on tools to receive the information from spirit

  • You have studied your chosen tools and are expert at interpreting them or are still learning

Mediumship

As a Medium, it's just you and spirit. No tools. You are responsible for your connection with spirit and how you develop that connection and maintain it throughout the reading.

A Medium:

  • Does not use tools

  • Connects directly with a source (relative, friend, etc.) and relays the information given to the sitter

  • May have guides and other helpers assisting from spirit

  • Strongest gifts will be clairvoyance or clairaudience

  • Can describe characteristics of the spirit (as opposed to getting these from interpreting the cards; both are as good as the other)

  • Does not give predictions (although every Medium is psychic so they may get them)

Which Class Should You Take?

This depends on your existing skills. If you are a working psychic, or are new and have started practicing providing readings, then the psychic development course is for you. Many psychics have built up their skills to then become very good Mediums.

If you are a Medium who wants to strengthen their skills, perhaps you already see Spirit and want to learn to deepen the connection or see them more often, maintain the connection, learn to focus and keep your ego mind out of the way, reduce fear of not getting anything, then the Mediumship class is for you.

Why this class exists

Psychic sensitivity is a natural faculty.
But without structure, ethics and grounding it becomes confusion, fear or emotional overwhelm.

I created these courses because spiritual development has shaped my life in extraordinary ways. I had the privilege of working with a remarkable mentor whose guidance propelled my mediumship forward and taught me what real, responsible development looks like. That experience showed me how empowering this work can be when it’s done with integrity.

As a long-standing platform Medium (the picture is me at Barnes Healing Church giving a Mediumship Demonstration), I believe psychic and mediumistic work has the potential to be deeply healing for both the sitter and the reader when it’s approached with clarity, grounded practice, and ethical awareness. Unfortunately, this field has been clouded by fear-based messages, untrained readers, and sensationalism. My intention is to help shift that narrative.

These courses give you a safe, structured way to develop your abilities while helping us collectively break the negative stigma around psychic and mediumship work. When done correctly, this work becomes a place of peace, insight, and genuine connection. It becomes a space where people heal, understand themselves more deeply, and feel supported rather than frightened or misled.

How will classes be delivered?

All live elements are held online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. For confidentiality and professionalism, FaceTime, WhatsApp, and other informal video apps are not used.

Do I need to be paid in full before attending?

Yes. All students must be fully paid and up to date before attending any live session or 1:1 assessment even on the payment plan. This ensures the group remains fair, organised, and committed.

What if I don’t receive anything during practice?

This is far more common than people think. Development is a skill, not a performance. If you don’t get anything at first, we work with what is happening, your sensations, focus, energy, or emotional responses. Often your sensitivity is building quietly in the background. With practice and the right guidance, progression always follows. No one is judged for being at the beginning of their journey.

Do you offer private sessions if I need extra help?

Yes. You can book a 1:1 session through my website if you need deeper guidance or personal development support.

Can I record the sessions?

No. Recording is not permitted under any circumstances. This protects the privacy, confidentiality, and experiences of everyone involved. You are welcome to take written notes during the session.

Do I need previous experience?

It would be helpful if you had some indication of psychic abilities. However, these courses are designed to include beginners and early intermediates. All you need is curiosity, consistency, and an open mind.

What if I struggle with meditation?

You don’t need to be perfect at it. You will be guided through realistic methods that help calm your mind and develop focus gently over time.

What if I’m late?

Please attend on time. Late arrivals disrupt the energetic flow and the learning environment for the group. If you join late, you may be asked to wait until the next suitable moment to enter.

Can I take both courses?

Yes. Many students combine Psychic Development and Mediumship Development depending on their goals. You can start with one and move to the other at any time.

How is my data handled?

Your information is protected in line with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. You can view these at any time.

Do you offer refunds?

No. Due to the digital nature of the course materials and the immediate access you receive upon purchase, as well as the training, all sales are final and non-refundable. Please make sure you are fully committed before joining. If you have questions before enrolling, you’re welcome to contact me for clarity. However, if the course hasn't yet started and you have not attending any training, then yes, a refund will be given without question.

What if I’ve never done psychic development before?

You do not need previous experience. You only need curiosity, respect, and willingness to practise. Development happens through sitting, listening, and consistency.
You will receive clear guidance every week.

What if I have questions during the training?

I have structured the course so that there will always be time for questions and reflections. Everyone evolves at their own pace and development. I support you whatever your needs during and after the training.

What if I miss a class?

This is a closed development circle. Recordings are not provided and missed sessions cannot be refunded or rescheduled. Your development is progressive. If you miss a session, you simply join the following week and continue to practise.

Can I join late?

No. This is a closed 8-week circle. We begin as a group and finish as a group.
